ANSWER:

There may be some overlap between the "Scenes III" and "The Land" classes. However, this is a conservation event, and much of the focus is the land and what it contains.

The class "Scenes III" is described as "Scenes Including Flora - Trees, Shrubs, Plants, Cactus, etc." Subjects in this class are limited to the ones mentioned in the description. In other words, the hand of man should not be evident.

The class "The Land" is described as "Land in any Form - Land, Landscapes, Brush, Open Spaces." This land class is not limited to flora and may include evidence of the hand of man, such as fences, old buildings, ruins, windmills, etc.

To take your question one step further, the "Culture & History of the Land" class is designed and meant to portray cultural and/or historical use of the land - something to do with the land from the past.

Use your discretion and judgment, when deciding where to enter an image. If you have any questions, please contact the Photo Contest Director before submitting your portfolio.
